Training Co-ordinator Leanne Hawkes from the charity explained: “Volunteers in our organisation are an indispensable part of the service we give to people.
They undertake all sorts of tasks, but most of them work in an advisory role. This could be providing advice and assistance by phone, email, webchat or face to face in the office at Ryedale or at one of our other venues throughout the districts. We are also looking for administrators at our Ryedale office.
I am hugely grateful to all of the fantastic volunteers who give up their time to help us deliver the advice to our clients which, in the face of such a tough pressure on people’s personal circumstances is more vital than ever. Without them we would not be able to support the community and provide the services we do.
Volunteering with a Citizens Advice is a great way to pick up skills, make friends and feel part of an enthusiastic team. And it’s not just worthwhile – volunteering can also be fantastic fun and hugely rewarding.”
Full training is given and travelling expenses are paid – to find out more check out www.citizensadvicehrs.org.uk or contact Leanne on 01653 695542 for an informal chat. Alternatively you can email email@example.com.
