If you know the astonishing art of Andy Goldsworthy, you may like to attend a public talk by him on his ‘Hanging Stones’ in Northdale Valley. This project (funded by the David Ross Foundation) uses former agricultural buildings in thought-provoking ways.
Andy Goldsworthy is a sculptor, photographer and environmentalist producing site-specific sculpture and land art situated in natural and urban settings. He lives and works in Scotland.
Information on the project is limited, but there is plenty about Andy, with pictures of his work, on Wikipedia.
The event is on Thursday 6th July in Westerdale Village Hall, Whitby YO21 2DT, starting at 6.30 pm
