Summer season at Helmsley Arts Centre

Helmsley Arts Centre has just issued its brochure for the summer season (May to August).

Artistic Director Natasha Jones said:

As always we have a fantastic variety of live and on-screen entertainment on offer, plus yoga, ballet, life drawing, our Ryedale Writers creative writing group and a special half term fun programme for 7 to 10 year olds.

There really is something for everyone this season.  Returning favourites include sax player Snake Davis,  pianist Joe Sligo and the Mardi Gras Jazz Band. Newcomers include Radio 4 comedy star Jeremy Hardy. On the cinema screen, we have La La Land, and Viceroy’s House, and in live broadcast format  we have the RSC’s Anthony and Cleopatra and the Glyndebourne production of  Verdi’s La Traviata. And our own 1812 Theatre Company brings us Alan Ayckbourn’s Women in Mind.”

If a brochure hasn’t plopped through your letter box, not to worry, you can pick one up from the box office or better still find all the information on line.
