Road closure in Swineherd Lane

Swineherd Lane will be closed from its junction with Old Road from October 2nd for six weeks.

Work is being undertaken by Highway Construction Ltd to widen the road, provide passing places, and in particular to widen the junction at the right turn leading to Ravenswick Hall, necessitated by building work at the Hall.

Access will be available for residents and essential vehicles.

Highway Construction has kindly undertaken to keep the blog informed of any changes to this schedule.

Presumably, pedestrian access will continue to be available along the full length of the road which forms part of our jogging route?

    Access for non-resident pedestrians?

Thanks Lee, sorry about the delay, holidays get in the way of blogging!

Highway Construction Ltd confirm that the road will be open to non-resident pedestrians, but strongly advise us not to use it unless necessary, because there will be mobile plant and machinery.
