Laughter Yoga is a form of exercise involving laughter exercises along with yoga breathing and stretching exercises. It’s excellent as it is suitable for abilities, young and old and those with limited mobility, and great for those who might struggle with their communication or co-ordination skills.
Laughter yoga is scientifically proven to reduce stress and anxiety, it lift one’s mood and improves social connections and relationships. Sounds like a wonder drug I hear say, well it is, and such good fun!
I would really like to create a Laughter Club in Ryedale which can be run weekly or monthly and hope that this is something that may be of interest to you. There are Laughter Yoga and Laughter Clubs groups in York and Leeds, but as far as I know there in nothing like this available in Ryedale.
