If you read the annual report from Kirkby Fruit Project which we published recently, you’ll know that negotiations were underway for the sale of KirkymoorCider at the town’s newsagents, Kirkby News, which already has a licence to sell alcohol. The good news is that talks are satisfactorily concluded, and the cider is now for sale.
The cider is made here in the town from donated apples which would otherwise probably go to waste, and has been rated good by experienced tasters and happy quaffers alike. It sells for £3.00 a bottle.
Many thanks to Kirkby News for making this unique Kirkby product available all year round.
