The Pickering branch of the WEA has been pursuing a historical theme this year, on the Normans in Yorkshire. Next up in this series is a day school on “Yorkshire Castles of the Norman Conquest”.
Yorkshire is particularly well endowed with Norman ruins, and this study day will look at the first castle in York through to the magnificent keeps at Richmond and Middleham.
Saturday February 17, 10.00am to 4.00pm, Pickering Memorial Hall, £25.00.
