County Council election candidates announced

Person placing vote in ballot boxVoters in North Yorkshire will go to the polls on Thursday, May 4, to elect their county councillors to represent them for the next four years.

The list of candidates standing in these elections has now been released.

There are six constituencies or ‘divisions’ in Ryedale. The candidates for the Kirkbymoorside Division are:

• Joy Andrews (Liberals)
• Val Arnold (Conservatives)
• Martin Brampton (Green)
• Vic Hoyland (Labour)
• Steve Mason (Liberal Democrats)
