Pickering’s holiday-time family fun day on Saturday, August 5 has just got even bigger.
New attractions include a bouncy castle and face painting plus two groups from Kirkbymoorside Brass Band will also perform.
Young and old are invited to join the family fun day with free admission for all as part of the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the Ryedale Lions Club.
The Anniversary Party will be held in the grounds of Lady Lumley’s School in Pickering on Saturday, August 5 from 1-5pm.
Among the day’s events will be live entertainment, BBQ and refreshments, stalls, games, magic show, palm reading, children’s fancy dress contest and rides on a miniature railway.
Several local charities who work in partnership with the Lions will also be at the event with their own stalls.
A Birthday Party Raffle will offer prizes including a Porsche Boxster for a weekend, family tickets for Flamingo Land, the North York Moors Railway, hotel stays, meals out and several cash prizes.
“This will be an ideal way to get the school holidays off to a great start with live music, games to suit all ages and a barbecue to enjoy,” said Ryedale Lions fun day organiser Geoff Otterburn. “We welcome families from across Ryedale to come and join in the fun.”
