Appeal for knitters and knitting supplies

An appeal from Christine Dixon:

I am making hats, bootees, mitts and other items for babies born alive and sleeping in Scarborough hospital. As I get plenty of items for Scarborough, I will attempt to stock other hospitals and neo-natal units but I need help to get some stock together.

At the moment there are a couple of ladies helping but the demand is great as I am sure you will appreciate, and I do have patterns that I can e mail out to anyone interested.

I am the local Project Linus UK coordinator too so am always on the look-out for donations of quilts, quilt tops, blocks, fabric, wadding etc.

Many thanks for any help you can offer, it is appreciated.

You can contact Christine, who lives in Allerston, via her freegle email account: or leave a message on the blog which we will pass on to her.

Project Linus UK is a volunteer organisation which aims to provide a sense of security and comfort to sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers through the provision of new home made patchwork quilts and knitted/crocheted blankets. Ed
