Minim Music is a family run musical instrument retail business located in Kirkbymoorside and on Saturday July 10th they are having an Open Day, 11am - 5pm, at their new shop on Kirkby Mills Industrial Estate. Moving from the centre of town gives them loads more space so that they can not only expand their product range but now have a Practice Room for local musicians at great rates.

Minim Music is staffed by professional musicians and are associated with Ryedale-Music-Lessons who are first class educators in brass & woodwind instruments, piano, drums and guitar. Ryedale-Music-Lessons are a body of music teachers who provide music lessons to both primary and secondary schools in North Yorkshire and they use Minim Music as a base for out of school music lessons.

Robert is the senior partner and has an extensive musical CV. He started playing music as a young lad in a brass band, and went onto a career as a Military Musician. He has studied at Kneller Hall (The Royal Military School Of Music) and performed at many prestigious venues accross the UK, USA and Europe. Robert has been a school music educator for 16 years as well as running the Ryedale-Music-Lessons instrumental teaching service.

Robert's wife Laura is the bean counter in the business. Having had an extensive career with the Inland Revenue she now spends her time making sure everything runs smoothly at the same time as developing her musical knowledge. Laura is also a member of the Rotary Club Of Helmsley & District.
